Tony Bello and Chris Hilaire created Breaking Free with a shared mission: to make decentralised finance, blockchain and digital money easier for everyday people to understand.
Tony Bello
Co-Author, Software Engineer and Technology Innovator
Tony Bello is a software engineer, author, trainer and technology innovator with more than 30 years of experience working across the UK and Africa. He is the co-author of the Breaking Free book, the developer behind the Breaking Free app and the architect of its Polygon-based smart-contract system.
Tony has worked through major stages of technological change, from personal computing and the internet to mobile technology, cloud computing, blockchain and artificial intelligence. His mission is to make complex subjects easier for everyday people to understand and use responsibly.
